2nd May School Description (and something else)#

Day in the life of A Prathamesh Phadnis

Today when Baba dropped me off, I went inside the school gates and went on the football field to play some football with Zane, Dylan and Noah. Our first lesson was German with Frau Fischer and today we just continued reading a detective story that we had started to read last time. She then gave us 20-25 mins to translate and understand as much of it as we could. We were ment to do the translation in pairs and because Mohammed was not there (I have no idea why he wasn't there), I worked with Luka. We managed to understand 3 more paragraphs than where we left off last lesson.

The next lesson was English with Ms Smith and she arrived late. (because that's who she is). We finished learning what AFOREST meant. It means Alliteration, Facts, Opinions, Rhetorical question and Repetition, Emotive Language and Exaggeration, Statistics ,and finally, (rule of)Three. Those are all the key components that are needed to write a sucsessfull persuasive writing text.

¨Also she happened in passing to mention that she wanted to work as a presenter on one of those Teleshopping channels that we see on TV. I think this came up because we are doing persuasive/descriptive writing and presenting on one of those channels requires some persuasive skills.

I dont care so much but I thought you might like to know about it. Aaaanyyyywaaayyys, back to the topic, so in english we basically finished of learning that for the entire lesson. BORING!!

Then we had break, in which I basically did nothing, relaxed for a bit. We then had extended Tutor Time but Mr. Southern had to teach his Y11's because of their IGCSE exams. So we had to go to our Maths Room and do our Tutor Time PSHE in there. It was boring and nothing was of significance so I won't explain it to you.

After our super long and boring Tutor Time PSHE lesson, we had Maths which, surprisingly, was equally boring because we are doing a topic called Lines and Angles. Today we were just covering parallel and perpendicular lines and I know what they are so it was like a relaxing lesson. We did that for the entire lesson. Moving swiftly on to lunch!

Lunch was tasty, Chicken breast with tomato sauce and 'wedges'. Sat with Shin, Zane, Dylan and Luka.

45mins later we have science and we got do AN EXPERIMENT!!!!!!!!!!!! In essence, we boiled red cabbage in disstilled water to create an indicator. We then added drops of cabbagy disstilled water to acids and alkalines to see if it was an acid or an alkaline. We used the PH scale to determine this. Day ended. :laugh:

After baba picked me up and we arrived home, we found your flight and I am tracking it (AND YOU)on a website called flightradar24.com.

3rd May Daily Update#

Hi Mamma! Hope you enjoyed reading my last post. This post is going to follow the same structure as the last, what is written at the top happened before what is written at the bottom. Hope you enjoy reading it! ❤️ ❤️

Morning (Drop off - 10:30)

Today when baba dropped me off, I went and played football with Dylan and Luka. Me and luka took penalties against Dylan who was in goal. Zane wasn't here today and neither was Shin. Maths was equally uneventful because we were 'learning' about polygons and shapes. It was so tiresome becuase I already learnt this in Y3, in BISS.

After that we had music in which we practised a piece from the horror film Halloween. It was okay but I personally don't like the way that Mr. Taylor teaches. After Music we had Break , and they had cookies on sale so I bought one. They were delicious, soft and gooey. I loved them.

Middle part of the day (10:50 - 12:50)

In Tutor Time Mr Southern wasn't there so we had a substitute teacher instead and his name was Sr. Sabater. The reason I put Sr. is because he is part Spanish and part Welsh. So he is not called Mr. but the spanish equivalent which is Senior (pronounced like senyor). He is also the second Spanish teacher, he teaches Spanish Set2. The enitre time he was just explaining to us about his name and what it means.
He actually has two names, the first one is Ulldemolins which means centre of the windmill or something like that and the second one is Sabater. He uses Sabater because it is easier to pronounce. Ulldemolins is also a town in Catalunya, Spain. (Near Barcelona). Below is a google maps screen schot of where the won is. (Hopefully that gives you an idea of where it is located)

After that we had Art and Ethan, Frederik and me are working on a paper mâché model of a minion shrek. (don't ask questions). I have to work with them because I dont have anyone next to me to sit next to. It was actually quite fun.

Our next lesson was English in which she blabbered for 30 mins then realised that she got sidetracked and then pulled back. We learnt a bit about how to write an effective piece of persuasive text but not much, she made this very clear though: we need to have three important things, Ethos (Credebility and trust), Pathos (Emotion and Vslues) and Logos (logic and Reason).

End of the Day (Lunch to Pickup)

In Geography Mr O' Connor had us complete some tasks that focus on how the water cycle works and how rivers are created. This was simple for me because ironically I have already done his (once again, you guessed it!!) IN Y3!!!!!

After Geography we had our second Art lesson. In this lesson, things got interesting. So Me, Ethan, and Frederik were working, or lets say I was and then Mr. Eagleson, no sorry Mrs Eagleson told me to work with Melina because, he was worried that she was going to fall behind if she didnt have anyone to work with. Melina has a partner but she wasn't in today, FYI. In essence, the piece that I am going to be graded on I didnt get to work on this lesson. HOW FAIR IS THAT??? Funnily enough, Melina also said the same thing, that Ethan, Frederik and Me needed more people to work on our project that she did. because she had finished one side but Ethan frederik and me hadn't.

Other Fun thing Karolina, one of the girls in my class, suddenly is much more open and has started talking to me much more. Her first question was this morning and she asked me if I was leaving, to which I responded with yes, but I think she might've known the answer anyways. I think this is because Julian might have overheard it, when I was telling Shin, and then he told David F, and then David F told Ethan, and then Ethan told Karolina.

The reason for the italic Mrs Eagleson is because I told baba about the incedent in the car on the way back and then it struck me, He called me a she so then I can call him a she right???

4th May#

Morning (Drop Off - 10:30)

German was uneventful, and I really dislike the way the she teaches because when you don't know an answer she makes you look like the dumb one. It is even worse for me and Mohamed because she expects that we know stuff that she taught but Ms Mills didn't. Maths was bad because she had to cover/teach a booster lesson for the Y12's IGCSE tests. So we didn't really learn much.

Middle (End of break - Lunch)

Tutor time was very quick and uneventful, we had a quiz and me and frederik got 1 out of 5 because he messed up on four of the questions. The only reason we didn't do better was because I had no idea for any of the other questions. Maths lesson 2 We did not have much work to do and the substitute teacher was super chill so many of us finished early and watched Youtube for the rest of the lesson. History was the best lesson ever because the people that had to go on the housepoints reward trip to Superfly, left so there were an extremely low amount of students. In fact there were only 10 people out of the 18 that we normally have. So we didn't do the syllabus because he thought it would be unfair on us that they got to go to Superfly but we had to keep on learning the syllabus.

He first asked us to write down 1 thing in history that we would like to know more about and I wrote WW|| or WW2. Just because. We talked about why the cold war started and then we kind of got distracted and moved down the space direction and talked about that for some time. It was very interesting. I enjoyed it a lot.

lunch was good. It was just decent.

english was as bad as always, There were literally 9 people in the enitre class and she still wanted to continue with the syllabus, she's going to have to repeat the lesson tomorrow. Spanish was uneventful becuase she wasn't there today. She left a lot of work so I have mountins of spanish homework to do. Me and Zane just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.

5th May#

Morning (Drop off to Break) So today after baba dropped me off, I went inside the school gates and sat there. I didn't want to play football because the 'footy' group was there so they were playing competively and I didnt want to get involved, especially because they use studs.

English We had LTE (Let's Think in English), and they gave us King Charles Coronation mugs. Coronation mug I found LTE a bit annoying because Ms Smith always adresses me when she asks our group, which is me and Shin. So Shin never asnwers because Ms Smith never adresses him.

Geography was okay, Mr O' Connor wasn't there but Ms Chandler was so it wasn't too bad. Me, Frederik and Colin worked together to produce a poster about a place in Switzerland called Rheinfall. It's a waterfall on the River Rhine. We should visit!! Break was nice, relaxing because the weather was nice.

Middle part of the Day (Tutor Time - Lunch) Tutor Time was very good! We found out that we are the leading house (I wonder because of who that happened), I have 90+ housepoints and make up roughly 25% of the house's housepoints in total. Me and Frederik make up 50%. He has just over 100 houspoints and I have just under 100.

Computing was nice, I was the only one who knew what a Landline telephone was. I won't bother you with the details. History was uneventful, because the entire class was there. lunch was horrible, the fish was so hard and plain eww that I literally could not eat it. Bapu made me a vegetarian today. So all I had was potatoes.

End of the Day (lunch break - pick-up) PE was not fun. We played a varitation called diamond cricket, horrible. People were everywhere and on the second ball that Mr. Herman threw to me, Ethan got in my way and caught my shot. Just amazing. I didn't get to play again. Music You heard what I told you from inside the car, on the way home, I hated every minute of the 50min lesson. One not so bad thing is that I got my performance out of the way. I didn't do so bad. Me and Masha played together and we didn't do so bad.

Other things Nothing to say apart from the fact that IT IS THE WEEKEND, and you are coming back in 5 days!!!

6th May#

Hi Mamma, hope you enjoyed reading the previous blog posts. Something is a litlle diferent in this one. Can you guess? I also got this on Friday but forgot to add it in the blog. paper!!

Morning (Wake up - Breakfast) I woke up at around 8:30, just after Baba, and sat in my bed, happy. IT WAS THE WEEKEND!!! I called you, made breakfast, fodni cha bhat, and ate it while watching Wheeler Dealers Dream Car.

Mid-Day (Breakfast - Lunch) After we had Breakfast we planned to go out and do the grocery shopping and buy the eggs. We wasted an hour just getting ready (mostly because of me, but hey hands up). We went to the Edeka by SGSDRR (St. Georges School Düsseldorf Rhein Ruhr (Fancy way of saying Duisburg lol)), and bought Sushi and pineapple and a bunch of things. My favourite item that we bought was strawberries. strawberries!!!!

We then drove to Duisburg town and paid €2.50 for parking in forum because we couldn't find parking anywhere else. We got the eggs and looked at a couple watches, and drove back home. On the way home, they closed the lane to take a left turn towards the smelly tunnel so we had to go 1 signal infront and then make a u-turn.

Once we came home, we had nachos and (I had) sushi for lunch. By the time we were done, I was completely stuffed.

Afternoon (lunch to dinner) After lunch, I watched Youtube.com for ages until it was around 6:30. Then I spoke to you and helped baba prepare for dinner.

Dinner was Vaaran Bhat and flower chi bhaji. Very tasty!!

Evening (dinner - sleep) After dinner, me and Baba watched the last 30 mins of The Italian Job , the original one. We went to sleep pretty much as soon as it finished.

7th May#

Morning (wake up - lunch) When I woke up, I sat and looked out of the window and saw a HUGE pigeon sitting on the window sill. Then I had breakfast, an egg and to crackers with cheese. After that I sat down to write my blog, about yesterday.

Once I finished that I sat down to do my homework. Baba began to prepare for lunch. It was pizza. We ate pizza at 3:00 and soon after that I went to do ahngol. Here are the pictures. pizza pizza2 chips

Then I sat down to do my Geography homework!! Thats it!! A very boring day. See you soon!!

8th May#

**Morning (Drop off to Break)**

When baba dropped me of, it was very sunny so I took my jacket off. PE was very not bad, but I would prefer not to run again, because I really did not enjoy it. Break was mainly based on relaxing after the run and cooling down.

**Middle Part (Tutor Time - Lunch)**

Tutor Time was very nice, we did abseloutly nothing and just talked about random things. Science, we had a test on acids and alkalines and I think it was easy but we'll have to wait until he marks it to see our mark. German was not bad, I still dislike the teacher immensely. Lunch was very good, argubaly the best part of the day, turkey meatballs, and pasta. End of the Day (Lunch end - pick up) PSHE was not bad, I did nothing because we had a cover teacher and I dint want to do any work. Spanish was decent, I have somehomework that I need to do but yeah, it was fine. Other things Nothing. Apart from the fact that you are comeing home tomorrow!!!!! Also, I got this wonderful image as my background today! images!!!
